Biography
Dr. Nelson holds the Richard David Scott Chair in Pediatric Developmental Medicine Research at Boston Children’s Hospital and is Professor of Pediatrics and Neuroscience at Harvard Medical School. His research explores early brain development, social perception, autism-related developmental trajectories, and the effects of early adversity. His laboratory uses EEG, eye tracking, near-infrared spectroscopy, and MRI to study development from infancy onward.
